The work is composed of four monologues for each instrumentalist.

Each monologue develops the description of a still image (a picture, a photograph or an event condensed in the idea of an image).

Each instrumentalist must narrate the image while playing his instrument.

 

The work was premiered by violinist Maximilian Haft, cellist Trude Meznar, double bassist Dina Kehl and violist Martin Jaques at Volkshaus, Biel, Switzerland
